Lumo ("Lumo," "we," "us") is a focus companion app published by Revera Flow. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Lumo is local-first: you can use it fully without an account, and in that mode your tasks and focus history stay on your device. Some optional features — signing in, Lumo Pro's cloud sync, AI capture, and email-in — do send data to our servers, and this policy describes exactly which.
Lumo saves your settings and activity (your daily profile, tasks, completed focus sessions and rituals, streaks, credits, and the village you build) locally on your device using standard app storage. Without an account this information is not sent to us, and deleting the app removes it. Note that the free version still contacts Google's ad network (see Advertising) and, unless you turn it off, sends the anonymous focus signal described below.
You can create an account with your email address (via a one-time code) or by signing in with Apple or Google. We use Supabase for authentication and store your email address to identify your account. Signing in with Apple or Google tells us the email address associated with that account; we do not receive your password. An account is only needed for Lumo Pro's cloud features — Lumo is fully usable without one.

You can delete this content from within the app, and you can sign out at any time to stop syncing.
While a focus block is running, Lumo reports an anonymous signal so the app can show how many people are focusing right now. This signal carries no name, no email, no account, no device identifier, and nothing about your tasks — only that some anonymous session is in progress. It is held in memory for the length of your block and is not written to a database or retained afterwards, and it works whether or not you have an account. You can turn it off in Settings › Connections › Focusing together, in which case Lumo makes no connection for it and shows no count.
The free version displays ads via Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads only, and the app does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency tracking. To serve and measure ads, Google's SDK may process a device identifier, coarse usage data, and diagnostic information. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information. You can remove ads entirely by subscribing to Lumo Pro.
Lumo Pro (a subscription) and any in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred so we can unlock features, but we do not receive or store your payment information.
If you connect your calendar or Apple Reminders, Lumo reads them read-only and on your device to reflect your day. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Lumo never creates, changes, or deletes your calendar events, and never creates or deletes reminders. You can turn access off anytime in iOS Settings › Lumo.
If you enable reminders, Lumo schedules local notifications on your device. No push tokens or server messaging are used. You can disable them anytime in iOS Settings.
Lumo is rated 4+ but is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
